UK BIM Alliance seeks Patrons

The UK’s Cross industry alliance to drive leadership around implementation of BIM Level 2 is seeking Patrons to support its work. Organisations throughout the AEC industry are invited to become Patrons of the Alliance in exchange for a range of benefits.

UK BIM Alliance Seeks Patrons

Formed in 2016 as the UK Government called upon industry to step up to the task, the UK BIM Alliance is now moving into a planned operational phase and is beginning an ambitious work programme which includes:

  • Championing the adoption and implementation of BIM Level 2;

  • A managed, cross-industry promotional campaign of events and communication;

  • Regional engagement and event programmes, working with the BIM4 groups and Regions;

  • The bringing together and consolidation of specialist BIM groups and organisations;
  • Supporting industry bodies and events to promote and communicate the benefits of BIM;

  • Identifying and supporting required technology and process development;

  • Development and delivery of projects e.g. BIM readiness assessments and BIM Training needs.

Two of the Alliance’s current projects, ‘Client Data Requirements for COBie’ and ‘Guidance on PAS-1192-5 security considerations’ will be formally launched at Digital Construction Week in October where the Alliance is running both the BIM Village stage and a series of BIM Chats for interactive education.

UK BIM Alliance Chair Anne Kemp, writes,

“We are now actively looking for sponsorship funds from Patron Sponsors as well as Project Funders for this important industry leadership programme. Once secured, these funds will be deployed transparently and diligently, to further the aims and objectives of the UK BIM Alliance and deliver the work programmes focused on enabling BIM Level2 as business as usual by 2020.”

The Alliance has released a set of annual benefits packages ranging from £2k - £10k for which organisations are requested to apply. Variations on the packages and additional options are available on request.

The options for Patrons are available to view here.

Interested parties are invited to contact the Alliance on info@ukbimalliance.org for further information.
